Excerpt from The Church's Broken Unity, Vol. 4
IN reviewing the various sects which exist around us, it has been shown that the many schisms and heresies which have unhappily divided the Church of christ in England, are no proof against her inherent vitality and truth. With a sorrowful confession that our people'have indeed been rent asunder by a multitude of creeds, we compare our present state with the history of the Universal Church even from the time of our Blessed lord; and finding it was the same, we conclude that since the truth as it is in J bsus is no way in itself compromised by the dissen sions of its professors so neither is the truth of the Church of England lost because of the mul titude of schismatics springing forth from her bosom.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the complex schism between the established Church of England and its breakaway Romanist sect. The author traces the origins of this division back to the Reformation, highlighting the key role played by private judgment in the splintering of the Church. Against this backdrop, the author juxtaposes the Romanist stance that they alone possess the keys to divine truth, apostolic descent, and the bond of unity. The book delves into the historical events that shaped this schism, focusing on the reign of Lucius, a British king who is central to both the Anglican and Romanist narratives. Through meticulous research and analysis, the author sheds light on the origins and evolution of the schism, exploring the reasons why the two branches of Christianity remain divided. This book is essential reading for anyone seeking to understand the historical and theological roots of the divisions within Christianity.
