This little work is again presented to the Profession for the simple reason that the first issue is exhausted. It is reprinted exactly as it stood when it was first written, with the exception of a few verbal and typographical corrections, because I have deem ed it only fair to myself to show that the doctrines which are now beginning to be recognised on the subject of Diphtheria were published by me many years ago. Nothing therefore is altered or retracted, but, inasmuch as more information has been gathered, and more confirmation has been afforded of the.
