Excerpt from The New Social Order: Principles and Programs
This book views the new order as a process of growth, with its roots in the past. It therefore discusses the principles round which it is forming, and then attempts to analyze in the light of them the main programs for social change that have been recently offered. It deals both with the vital forces and with the form and structure of the new order. It holds that certain principles or ideals - they will be called social or moral or religious according to the point of view, - which have developed in the past experience of man as the expression of both his practical needs and his spiritual aspirations, are now being consciously accepted by multitudes of people as the guiding stars of life and the working principles of a new social order. These principles are viewed not as finished products, but as still, and possibly forever, in process of development. They are both building and builded upon.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book is on the brink of a significant societal shift that is highlighted by the urgent need to replace the old social order. The author suggests that the devastating effects of war have greatly accelerated this transition and necessitated profound societal change. The author believes that the transition requires addressing both practical and spiritual aspects. As the old order crumbles, emerging new principles begin to define the future. These principles are not viewed as final products, but rather evolving ideals that humanity can continually aspire to and apply. The author, a teacher of Christian ethics, draws parallels between these principles and the teachings of Jesus, suggesting their historical development and relevance to the current situation. While acknowledging the complexity of the issues involved, this book emphasizes the fundamental importance of justice, efficiency, and a focus on individuality. It also underscores the urgent need for religious and spiritual transformation alongside social and economic change. Ultimately, this book seeks to provide a roadmap for navigating the transition to a new social order, balancing the preservation of valuable traditions with the creation of a more just and equitable society for all.
