It is not less firmly our conviction that the Sunday school should have a curriculum of study as carefully and as intelligently graded as any other school, and that this curriculum should include a thorough course in biblical history. Such a course, covering both the Old Testament and the New, deal ing with teachings as well as events, and recognizing relations of events as well as mere facts, should occupy not less than three or four years. The present work has been prepared with the thought that it should constitute the' middle third of such a course in biblical history, properly following a thorough study of Old Testament history, and itself to be followed by a study of the history of the apostolic church.
