It was the intention of the Author of "A Practical Treatise on the Law of Patents for Inventions and of Copyright," several years ago, to bring out a second edition of his work; but the expectation that alterations would speedily be made in the law obliged him to desist. Those expectations have not been realized. A Committee of the House of Commons sat, heard evidence, and reported the same, in June, 1829; and yet no legislative provisions have been made to amend the law.
