These Lessons in Civics for the Three Primary Grades of Schools have been prepared at my request by Hannah Mar Harris, instructor in History, Civics, and English, at the State N School, Hyannis, Massachusetts, and under the direction of Arth Dunn, the Bureau's Specialist in Civic Education. The purpose Lessons is to enable teachers of children of the first, second, and grades in City schools to make a good practical beginning in in Civics on the basis of experience and induction.
