Some months since, the New York Evangelist put the ques tion, Is slavery right or wrong? To the New York Observer, and called for a clear and positive Opinion. The New York Independent seconded the Evangelist by offering to pay into the treasury of the American Board of Foreign Missions the sum of two hundred dollars, if the New York Observer would transfer to its columns, and answer with a simple yes or no, each of the following eight questions, viz.
