Excerpt from The Views of an Angry Man
Mouthpiece of his views, not to deprive the world of them. I have kept (so faras possible) to his own diction, and have added (it will be seen) no literary ele gancies or ornaments. The notes were sent in the first place to the Westminster Gazette. I should like to correct my friend's views with my own brighter opinions, but am unwilling to irritate him in his adversity. He will be at large before very long.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book presents the often bitter, scornful views of an angry but deeply observant narrator on a broad range of subjects directly affecting his life in the early 1900s. His viewpoints are those of an average, poor Englishman, a man who has experienced firsthand the shiftlessness of idle aristocracy and the brutality and greed of the newly moneyed robber barons. The authorâs topics include the damage done to the social fabric by the wealthy elite, the myth of ânobleâ work, the failure of the education system, and the vapidity of the eraâs social milieu, among others. Delivered with biting wit and an incisive style, this book asks the reader to question every commonly held belief about society, the upper classes, and the march of progress, making it a refreshing voice among the often monotonous philosophies of the early 20th-century.
