Excerpt from Six Months at Graefenberg: With Conversations in the Saloon, on Nonresistance and Other Subjects
My object in these pages has been to call atten tion to the Water cure, and to the subject of non resistance. I have endeavoured to make this evident on the title page, in order that those Who may be disposed to purchase the volume may not be deceived as to its contents.

Excerpt from Six Months at Graefenberg: With Conversations in the Saloon, on Nonresistance and Other Subjects
Although the names of the speakers in the following conversations are, with two exceptions, fictitious, the conversations are real, and were taken down whilst they were going on, or immediately afterwards; and the speakers themselves are ling men and women, most of whom I regard as familiar friends, to whom I owe much of the interest and happiness associated with my residence at Graefenberg.
