As the arguments and merits of this Work are quite independent of the Author, his name is unimportant; he has therefore considered it sufficient to declare that he is not a clergyman, in order to obviate that calumnious insinuation, which the Unita rian writers deal out with so little-reserve, that the defenders of the orthodox faith are influenced by secular considerations.
