Excerpt from Lectures on Infant Baptism
The favorable reception which the Christian Community have given to this publication, has made it necessary to print a second edition much sooner than I expected, and so has rendered it impossible for me, as my other duties are, to do all that I intended in re vising and improving the Lectures. I have, however, added fifty pages in the whole.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book posits that Infant Baptism is a divine institution supported by a sound and rational basis. The author, having himself been led to this conclusion by serious and prolonged inquiry, lays out the considerations which have convinced him through arguments, evidence, and historical context. The author begins by addressing common misconceptions and concerns about Infant Baptism and cautions against the use of harsh and divisive speech by those holding differing views. The author contends that the historical context of the Old Testament provides evidence supporting Infant Baptism, as does the practice of female communion and even the institution of the Christian Sabbath in the New Testament. The absence of explicit, repeated commands regarding Infant Baptism in the New Testament, the author submits, does not disprove its validity as a divine institution. The book also addresses the nature of evidence and the kinds of proof that can reasonably be expected in matters of faith and practice, such as Infant Baptism. It likewise examines the relationship between parents and children, showing how Infant Baptism harmonizes with and reinforces this sacred bond. This book is an insightful examination of Infant Baptism that will deepen the understanding of those who practice it and challenge those who do not.
