Only simple stories - having definite activity that appeals to the natural interests of the children - ~should be selected by the teach ers, and these should include stories pertaining to Admission Day Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, Washing ton's Birthday, Lincoln's Birthday, May Day and Decoration Day.
A fresh story should be given for each lesson, the teacher telling the entire story, but permitting each child to draw the part that most impresses him.
