Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into an issue that has plagued academic institutions for generations: determining the appropriate workload for faculty members. The author, a pioneering educational researcher, presents a novel method for assessing a fair teaching load that considers both time spent on instructional duties and the fatigue resulting from such work. Through questionnaires and data analysis, the author demonstrates that non-teaching activities, such as research, administration, and professional development, can significantly impact a faculty member's overall workload. This comprehensive study challenges traditional approaches to workload determination and offers a more objective and equitable framework for institutions seeking to optimize faculty productivity while ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
