The importance which I attach to this point is not to be measured by the space devoted to it in the following pages; for the time which I could give to it has been from necessity very limited, so that I have scarcely done more than indicate what should be done on a much larger scale. Should the plan commend itself to the judgment of others, it may be more fully developed hereafter.
This class of facts forms a part of the embryological methods, embracing some notes on the occurrence of eggs appended thereto.
