Excerpt from On the Prevalence of Certain Numbers in Relation to Events
Our notion Of that imaginary substitute for uni versal Providence, which we call chance, is the false creation Of our ignorance; we are indisposed to ao knowledge cause and efect as necessarily connected beyond the limits Of our comprehension. Where our knowledge ends, the chaotic empire Of supposed irre gular casualty begins and we are so accustomed by experience to relative beginnings, that we are always inclined to search for an absolute beginning. Hence arises the idea Of an everlasting previous chaos ano ther term for chance, in reference to the harmony Of the material world. For the same reason, we talk Of the accidental coincidence Of analogous or similar events, where we cannot Observe the evidence Of collateral connexion, because we do not appre ciate the necessity for one universal adjustment, independently Of any direct series of special causes and effects.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the profound relationship between numbers and events, arguing that certain quantities are intrinsically linked to specific temporal intervals. The author proposes a theoretical framework based on the most fundamental principles of arithmetic, demonstrating how the progression of numbers reflects a universal system of numerical harmony. By analyzing historical data and personal experiences, the book presents striking evidence of the prevalence of particular numbers in determining the timing of notable events. The author reveals how the same numerical patterns that govern abstract mathematical operations also shape the unfolding of the phenomenal world, suggesting a higher order of coherence and interconnectedness within the universe.
