Excerpt from The Graphical Solution of Hydraulic Problems: Treating of the Flow of Water Through Pipes, in Channels and Sewers, Over Weirs, Etc
The diagrams are constructed upon well-known for mulas, using coefficients that are generally accepted as safe for the conditions to which they are intended to apply. While it was intended to have the computations correctly made and carefully Checked, no attempt has been made to secure mathematical refinements, such being in most cases entirely out of place in hydraulic2 graphical solution OF hydraulic problems.

Excerpt from The Graphical Solution of Hydraulic Problems: Treating of the Flow of Water Through Pipes, in Channels and Sewers, Over Weirs, Etc
It is not the purpose of this book to discuss the laws governing the flow of water, the hydraulic experiments that have been made, or the formulas derived from them. The object of the book, as conceived by the author, is to provide a convenient instrument or tool for the practising engineer (who is already familiar with hydraulic laws and formulas) with which he can solve quickly and correctly the commonly occurring hydraulic problems by means of diagrams and with a minimum of calculation, either mental or written.
The diagrams are constructed upon well-known formulas, using coefficients that are generally accepted as safe for the conditions to which they are intended to apply.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book offers a convenient tool for engineers seeking quick and accurate solutions to common hydraulic problems. The author provides diagrams based on well-known formulas, along with coefficients that are widely accepted for conditions their formulas cover. These diagrams enable readers to solve problems with greater precision than is usually warranted by the data available. The book comprehensively covers topics such as flow in pipes, flow through short tubes, flow in channels, and flow in sewers, making it a valuable resource for practicing engineers. The author's approach simplifies complex hydraulic computations, allowing engineers to focus on the interpretation of results rather than lengthy calculations. This practical guide empowers engineers to solve hydraulic problems efficiently and confidently. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
