IN consequence of the numerous applications and inquiries from the trade for a work embodying sound practical information for the successful manipulation of oils (lubricating and burning), tallows and greases, we have decided to issue this book.
In doing so we have carefully reviewed the whole field of resource and chosen therefrom the best material only for their manufacture.
This we have further dissected and classified into the respective groups, with the assistance of a practical expert, carefully avoiding, as far as possible, all technical phrases, aiming to so simplify the information given as to enable it to be easily followed and carried out.
