You will not expect me to use the marvelous language about the Big Trees which the lecturers and newspaper correspondents have developed into a style as much larger than that of ordinary conversa tion as the trees are larger than rose bushes. I shall be content with the hum bler task of giving you some informa tion taken from accurate sources, and sketching the walks which I took through the Grove.
