Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the inheritance of certain differences in the endosperm of various maize races. The author, a respected scientist, conducted experiments on specific maize varieties, crossing them to study the inheritance of seed characteristics like shape and endosperm composition. The experiments revealed that these traits are not inherited in a straightforward manner but are influenced by multiple factors, challenging previous assumptions about maize inheritance. The author's findings have important implications for understanding the genetics of quantitative traits and provide valuable insights into the complex mechanisms underlying the inheritance of plant characteristics.
