It should be noticed that while power has been granted to purchase, test, and publish upon these products, no authority has been given with reference to the supervision and control of their manufacture. This paper is presented with the object of furnishing some concrete examples of the variation observed in tetanus antitoxin at present on the market, and to Show the necessity for Federal supervision of all vaccines, serums, antitoxins, viruses, and analogous products, includ ing mallein, tuberculin, anthrax and blackleg vaccine, and hog-cholera serum.
