Included with this first season's record of archeological Observa tions north of the Rio Colorado are various notes volunteered by chance acquaintances or gleaned from the writings of early travelers through the Great Interior Basin. In most instances these memo randa agree so closely with our own findings that they may be accepted as fairly accurate indexes to the character of prehistoric remains in the localities to which they severally refer.
