This essay appeared originally in the September and October numbers of the New York Medical Journal of the past year. It was intended to set forth certain conclusions arrived at regarding inhalations; to be in fact an expression of personal experience on a subject which, though it had commenced again to attract some attention, was doing so rather in connection with the novelty of the apparatus used than from any clear ideas of its therapeutic importance.
