As this little book is read by our members, we are sure they will appreciate Mr. Richardson's industry and good judgment in the selection and arrangement of his material. His flowing narrative will be especially interesting to our older members; and our younger members will learn from the vivid pictures of local conditions in this little book much that they should know about the events of those older days when our country was at a great crisis comparable only with the great crisis that we have just passed.
