Excerpt from Scriptorum Ecclesiasticorum Opuscula Praecipua Quaedam, Vol. 1: Recensuit Notasque Suas Et Aliorum Addidit
Testes hosce eoclesiasticae doctrinae a te peto ut accipias benigne, quippe, quo propius absunt a primordiis Christianismi, eo magis con tra haereticam pravitatem justissimas ob causas valent.

This book, one of the earliest examples of Christian literature, is a letter written by Polycarp, an early Christian bishop, to the Philippian church in the 2nd century AD. It is a powerful testament to the faith and resilience of the early Christians, and offers a glimpse into the beliefs and practices of the early church. Polycarp's letter covers a wide range of topics, including the importance of faith, hope, and love; the need for unity and harmony within the church; and the dangers of false teachers and heresies. He also exhorts his readers to live a life of virtue and holiness, and to be prepared to suffer for their faith. This book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of Christianity, and it offers a unique insight into the mind of one of the early church's most important figures. Polycarp's letter is a reminder that the Christian faith is a faith of hope and love, and that it is a faith that is worth living and dying for.
