The apparatus discussed here under the name Gyroscope was exhibited by Professor Walter R. Johnson, of the University of Pennsylvania, in 1831. It was then called the Rotascope, but it ex cited but little interest.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the analysis of rotary motion, offering a detailed examination of the forces and principles that govern the behavior of rotating objects. The author provides a comprehensive exploration of the subject, drawing upon analytical mechanics to provide a solid theoretical foundation. Through the examination of equations of motion, the author sheds light on complex phenomena, including the self-sustaining power of gyroscopes and the motion of the gyroscope about its point of support. This book serves as a valuable resource for those seeking a deeper understanding of rotary motion, its applications, and the underlying physical principles that govern it.
