Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book is a collection of essays written by the author in the early 18th century, first published in 1711. These essays originally appeared as a daily publication in a London newspaper. The essays examine a wide range of subjects including literature, morality, fashion, and the role of women in society. The author seeks to provide a witty and insightful perspective on the manners and customs of the time, and their relevance to human nature as a whole. The book navigates the tension between personal observation, literary criticism and philosophical musings. The authorâs insights into human nature make this book a significant contribution to English literature, and its themes will resonate with readers today.
