The Legislature of the State of New York has at length settled, by statute, the powers, duties, and jurisdiction of the Surrogate. It is supposed, that there is now no common law to regulate the practice of the Surrogate Court, or the liabilities and responsibilities of Executors and Administra tors: all must look into the new revised statutes.
