The aim of the present volume is to place before students of elocution and dramatic readers, in a handy and practical form, a brief but suggestive exposition of the art of delivery, and a series of selections of a. Varied and attractive kind. The book is divided into four parts. The first division is devoted to a short account of the general principles of elocution; the second consists of practical hints with illustrative examples; the third treats of the theory of gesture; while the last con tains a graduated set of pieces for reading and recitation.
