Excerpt from Revised Draft of Code of Civil Procedure
Whether the draft is a material improvement upon the present Code is a moot question, but in View of the vital importance of an acquaintance with those legal rules and principles which direct the course of proceedings in the Japanese Courts (a correct knowledge of which is essential to litigants and to their attorneys), the translator believes that an English version of the proposed Code will be a welcome addition to the available legal works hitherto published in this country in a Western tongue.
