Excerpt from The Schott Methods of the Treatment of Chronic Diseases of the Heart: With an Account of the Nauheim Baths, and of the Therapeutic Exercises
Since the publication of the third edition of this work, the views expressed as to the repair of athero matous and other forms of vascular degeneration have received abundant confirmation. In the present issue will be found two additional short chapters, one on the physiological action of the methods referred to, more especially in relation to the nervous system and to blood-pressure; and another on the subject of what is commonly called the after-cure.
