Excerpt from A Digest of Process and Composition and Allied Decisions in Patent Cases
This digest is not intended to be an absolutely complete index to process cases, but rather a working handbook of process and composition decisions and of such allied decisions as will throw light on them. It has often been difficult to collate the decisions of this type bearing on a given question. In trying to overcome this difficulty the compiler has read at least cursorily most of the published patent cases from 1789 down to date. The syllabi, it will be noted, are extremely short, and are intended to be rather catch headings, than sum maries of the cases. It is suggested that users of this digest should not depend absolutely on them unless certain of the limitations laid down in the original decisions.
