That, under and by virtue of the resolution above referred to, which is found upon the' Journals of the committee, the committee met and organized on the 3d day of January, 1830, and have continued in session until the 20th day of February, 1839, and, during all their sessions, have had under consideration the subjects of inquiry assigned them in the resolution raising them.
