HE Author of the Prole Bath Guide, not withftanding the mobs railed 'by' Doctors,' ecclefiaf'tical and civil, and the perfecution he has undergone for publifhing fuch bom-trutbr, {till Hatters himfelf that the candid partof the public at large, and the honef't part of the'lnhabitants and Citizens of Bath,will fee the pictures he has heid forth in their true light, and then they will perceive, that it is the interelt ofa great number of Fools and Knaves, not only to decry the work, but even to drive out of fuch a City as Bath, any man who has penetration enough to fee, and fpirit enough to warn thofe of every age and difpofition, who frequent Bath, with the means of avoiding, the artifices of Sharpers, of every denomination, from the fine gentlemen Sharpers, who frequent the Public Rooms, down to the lowefi order of them whofe general intereft it is to keep the ferrets of the flare.
