IN consequence of the Author's German works having received the flattering approbation of the public, not only in this country, but also in America, where they have been published for the use of Harvard College, he is again emboldened to introduce to its notice the following little work, which he trusts will be found no less useful to the German student than any of his former publications in that language.
As it is generally admitted that the language of conversa tion differs materially from that which is to be found in books of taste, or on science, it is to be hoped that the following Vocabulary and Dialogues, which 'are differently arranged from any other extant, will enable the student to acquire more knowledge of the spoken language in a short time, than he possibly could acquire by simply reading standard authors for many years.
