Excerpt from The Charge of Ignorance and Misrepresentation Proved Against "a Lover of Cudworth and Truth"

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book centers on a discussion of the accusation that Ralph Cudworth was a Unitarian and explores the evidence for and against this claim. The author presents historical evidence from the works of Cudworth's contemporaries, including John Howe, Robert Nelson, and Thomas Wise. The book also delves into the broader context of the debate over the Trinity in the 17th century, offering insights into the conflicting views held by different factions within the church. The author argues that Cudworth's writings demonstrate a belief in the subordination of the Son to the Father, and that this view was consistent with the teachings of the early church fathers but was later rejected by the orthodox establishment. The book sheds light on the complexities of theological discourse during a period of significant religious and intellectual change, and offers a fresh perspective on the nature of Cudworth's beliefs and their place in the history of Christian thought.
