Excerpt from The Psychic Health of Jesus
The task Of coming to a newer and fresher understanding of Jesus is the bounden duty of all confessed Christians, whether orthodox vor liberal, theological or lay. The present study has been made with this one thought in mind. From the more strictly scientific point of view this study aims at two things: 1) a comprehensive survey of the pathographic judg ment against Jesus in both its early and its developed stages; 2) a determination of the correctness of the pathographic posi tion as based upon a sifting of the New Testament sources.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the concept of Jesus' psychic health, drawing from historical and biblical sources to examine the various ways in which Jesus' mental state has been interpreted throughout history. The author delves into the claims of ecstasy, epilepsy, paranoia, and excessive nervousness as potential diagnoses for Jesus' behavior and teachings, while also exploring the historical factors that contributed to these interpretations. The book discusses how Jesus' self-consciousness and claims of divinity have played a role in the debate surrounding his mental health. Ultimately, the author seeks to determine whether Jesus' psychic health can be definitively diagnosed, or if it remains an enigma to be debated for centuries to come.
