Excerpt from Ailred of Rievaulx and His Biographer Walter Daniel
Numerous notes have been made in the margins by different hands, some being additions to the text written by the copyists, others, by a fourteenth century hand, afterwards erased, and now quite illegible, others, the majority, by the hand of Thomas Comber, of whom below. Except at the end the manuscript is accurately written.
