Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book thoroughly explores the beauty, elegance, and harmony of ancient architecture, and its enduring and fundamental principles that have shaped the field of architecture throughout history. The author argues that returning to the practices, proportions, and techniques of ancient architecture can elevate buildings from being merely functional structures and make them instead works of art and expressions of human achievement. By showcasing the superiority of ancient architectural practices, the author challenges the prevailing trends of modern architecture and implores readers to restore the grandeur, nobility, and visual interest that characterized ancient buildings.
