Excerpt from Controlling Sex in Generation: The Physical Law Influencing Sex in the Embryo of Man and Brute, and Its Direction to Produce Male or Female Offspring at Will; With an Appendix of Corroborative Proofs
The first is, after a sufficient number of relevant facts are collected, to deduce from them some general principle which will fit them all. When this is found, the idea takes the position of a hypo thesis, more or less probable as the facts considered have been many in number and sufficiently varied.
The second stage is, when well-authenticated facts derived from other persons can be brought to corroborate the hypothesis, especially such facts as were gathered for some different purpose. When these are sufficient to satisfy the honest intelligent reader the evolution of the idea should be regarded as complete, and what was before but a hypothesis be permitted to take rank as a theory.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the factors that influence the sex of offspring in humans and domestic animals. The author, an experienced husband and father, presents a revolutionary theory based on years of observations and experiments. According to the theory, the physical condition of the mother at the time of conception determines the sex of the child. The author suggests that a robust mother is more likely to produce male offspring, while a less robust mother is more likely to produce female offspring. This theory challenges conventional wisdom and has implications for understanding the imbalance in the sex ratio in various populations. The author provides evidence from vital and mortuary statistics to support his claims, and discusses the broader social and ethical implications of controlling sex in reproduction. This book is a significant contribution to the understanding of human reproduction and offers new insights for researchers, medical professionals, and anyone interested in the science of life.
