Chiari's case also occurred in a phthisical woman, aged 30, who had most extensive tuberculous ulcers 'm the rectum. The vulval ulceration was similar to that in Deschamps' case, except that it was more extensive and had involved the vagina to a greater degree the internal genitals likewise being intact. It was thought to have resulted from infection by bacilli from the rectal ulcers, the vagina having been wounded two years previously during a very painful coitus.
