Wohler and Matter (321) investigated the explosive properties and the priming effects of seven explosives besides mercury ful minate. Tests were made to ascertain their expansion in lead blocks, their penetrating effect on lead plates, and the temperature at which they ignited. The results are-given in Table 1.
