The strong upward movement in wool prices in foreign markets has resulted in a movement by domestic mills and cloth buyers to cover their requirements and calls for considerable quantities of wool on the Boston market were reported during March. Attempts to advance raw wool prices in the domestic market have met with slight success, however. The increased business in domestic wools in February resulted from the accumulation of delayed purchases caused by the sharp decline in the London market in January. Demand during February was confined largely to the finer grades of Western grown wools but with the increase in activity the middle of March a good demand for 56's, and 48's., 50? Domestic wools became noticeable.
