The three years' contest about Reform, and the campaign of last Session respecting the Irish Church, have been brought to a close in the great battle just fought in the Constituencies. It may be useful to analyze the results of, the struggle, and to ascertain the answers which have been returned by the different Nationalities and Classes of Voters and especially to enquire into the causes which have been most powerfully at work during the conflict, and to endeavour to throw light on two important questions.
