Wenn wir diesen von uns in den Grundzügen entwickelten, für unser Erkenntnisvermögen massgebenden Gesetzen folgen, so kann es nicht ausbleiben, dass wir zu klaren Urteilen gelangen. Und diese sind, wie wir vernahmen, für das sittliche Handeln von ausschlaggebender Bedeutung. Wir kommen deshalb zu dem Resultat, dass das Ziel aller Erziehung vornehmlich in -der Anleitung zu einer immer klaren Erkennt nis, zu einem richtigen Wissen von dem, was zu thun und was zu lassen ist, liegen muss.
Dass wir mit dieser Behauptung nicht fehl gehen, beweist, soweit das nicht schon aus dem Gesagten hervorgeht, das von Descartes dem Menschen gesteckte ethische Ziel.
