Excerpt from A Plea for the Rights of Industry in Ireland: Being the Substance of Letters Which Recently Appeared in the Morning Chronicle, With Additions
I was gratified to find, in your article of Friday on the Rights of Industry, so near an accordance with the views. To which I have endeavoured to direct atten tion in the essay under that title which you obligingly notice. The subject is so important at the present period, that perhaps you will allow me the space neces sary for clearing up one or two points upon which, if any difference exists between us, it will be removed, Iam confident, by a few words of explanation.

Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book provides a detailed analysis of the complex relationship between land, labor, and capital in Ireland. The author argues that a country with such an abundance of natural resources should not be struggling with poverty and unemployment. Through extensive research and evidence, the author demonstrates that Ireland's vast tracts of unused land could be transformed into productive farms, providing ample opportunities for its surplus labor force. By exploring historical and economic contexts, the author challenges the prevailing notion that emigration is the only solution to Ireland's economic woes. Instead, the book advocates for land reform and investment in domestic agriculture as a more sustainable and equitable path to prosperity. Its insights offer a valuable contribution to the ongoing debate on economic development and social justice in Ireland and beyond.
