C'est donc en grande partie sous ce point de vue, et pour les causes que je viens d' énoncer, que j'ai rédigé ces Mémoires et mis en ordre une foule de souvenirs qu'il m'a été fort pénible de rappeler. J'ai été peu excitée par des sentiments haineux. Aucune pensée de vengeance ne sestqo1nte à la pensée pre miere, bien que j 'en eusse la possibilité et qu oum 'ait lo1 tement provoquée.
