Excerpt from Practical Lectures in Dermatology: Comprising a Course of Fifteen Lectures Delivered at the University of Vermont Medical Department During the Session of 1892 and 1893
Having been requested by the students in the Medical Department of the University Of Vermont to publish my lectures on Disease Of the Skin, delivered to them during the sessions Of 1892 and '93, I Offer this as my excuse for the creation of another work on Dermatology.
The following pages are prepared from stenographic notes and represent with substantial accuracy the lectures as they were delivered to the students. As the subject was large and the number Of lectures small, I endeavored to make the course as practical as possible and considered only those diseases of the skin which every physician in general practice should at least be able to diagnose and to treat in an intelligent manner.
If Ihave succeeded in making such a presentation of the subject these lectures should be found Of service not only to the student but to the physician engaged in general practice.
