According to the Heads mentioned in my Title Page, I {hall proceed regularly to ef'ta blifh whati have there afterted, and to make fome Remarks upon what you have ad vanced with regard to each; but I muf't firf'c obferve, that in all Countries and Times there is a Sort of Fafhion which prevails even in Religion and Politicks, as well as Drefs and Modes of Converfation. When this Faihion relates only to Drefs and Modes of Converfation, I {hall generally comply with it, even though I do not altogether approve of it; but in Religion and Po'liticks, when it is erroneous, it is mol't pernicious, and therefore I {hall always withfiand it to the utmof't of my Power.
