The sacred writings, and the history of our own country, to the honour of human nature, furnish us with abundant proofs of the falsehood of this infamous supposition, by placing be; fore us men, who have been alike eminent for their ha tred to tyranny, their ardent attachment to their coun; try's freedom, and their sincere devotion to the cause of piety and virtue.
