Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Reto Hofmann is Senior Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Western Australia, Australia. He is the author of The Fascist Effect: Japan and Italy, 1915-1952 (2015), which was shortlisted for the Australian Historical Association's W.K. Hancock Prize.

Max Ward is Professor of History at Middlebury College, author of Thought Crime: Ideology and State Power in Interwar Japan (2019) and co-editor of Transwar Asia: Ideology, Institutions, Practices, 1920-1960 (2022) and Confronting Capital and Empire: Rethinking Kyoto School Philosophy (2017).
